It's Prairie Classic time!! Our HS boys and girls will be playing in the annual Prairie Classic Tourney again this year. Their first games will be this Friday, 12/12/25. I have attached the bracket and game day information. On Friday, the bus will leave Lone Star at 3:45 p.m. We will announce leave time for Saturday as soon as game results come in on Friday evening.

Good afternoon Lone Star. We are continuing our busy week of basketball. Our Lady Longhorns will be traveling to Hugo tomorrow, 12/11/25 to take on the Lady Pirates. Games will start at 4:00 p.m. with 2qtrs. JV Girls then our Varsity will play at 5:00p.m. The bus will leave Lone Star at 1:00 p.m. with a stop in Yuma. If you would like your athlete to drive to Yuma and be picked up, please get a hold of Peggy Fisher to confirm those plans. Thank you

Next week is our last week before Christmas break! We would love to have a little fun with our students and have a few dress up days.

Tuesday: Nice vs. Naughty- Dress up as an evil or good kid! Good kids wear: Green, Gold, and White. Naughty kids wear: Black, Brown, or Red!

Wednesday: Wacky Winter Wear Wednesday: Wear your ugliest sweater!

Thursday: Lights, Camera, Christmas: Dress up as one of your favorite Christmas movie characters!

Friday: Jingle Bell Jammies: Dress up in your holiday pjs!

Good afternoon Lone Star. Our HS basketball teams will be traveling to Peetz once again, tomorrow 12/9/25, to take on the Bulldogs. Games will start at 4:30 p.m. with, 2qts. JV Girls, 2 qtrs. JV Boys, Varsity Girls, then Varsity Boys. The bus will be leaving Lone Star at 2:30 p.m.

FFA Families: Our fruit, beans, and potatoes SHOULD be ready for pickup at 3:45 on Tuesday, December 8th. We understand there are basketball games that night, so let Mrs. Vetter if there will be an issue picking up and delivering items that night.

Hello Lone Star! Tomorrow our high school basketball teams will be traveling to Weldon Valley to take on the Warriors. Games will start at 4:00 p.m. with 2 qtrs. School will be cancelled on Friday, December, 5th. Bob Rogers memorial service will take place at the school at 11:00 am. Our thoughts are with the Rogers family, and the entire Lone Star community as we mourn this tremendous loss.

On December 19th, our high school students will be having a day of service for the Lone Star community. Lone Star feels it's important that our students get out in our communities and understand the importance of service learning. We would love the opportunity to get out in the community and help anyone in need. Please feel free to reach out so we can get you on our schedule! Please contact the office with any jobs that you would like taken care of and we will be at your house or business on the 19th. You can also email Mr. Bowers at bowersm@lonestar.k12.co.us

It is that time of year again, and the weather is getting much colder! Please send your child with a coat, hat, and gloves to school so they can still enjoy the outdoors. Thank you

Reminder!
Next week, we only have school on Monday and Tuesday.

REMINDER: Mr. Bitterman will NOT be running a route for morning and afternoon tomorrow 11/19 and Thursday 11/20.

Next Wednesday, November 19th, all high school students will be attending the career fair at NJC. Students need to bring a sack lunch or money to buy lunch for this event. If you need the school to prepare a lunch for you please email Mrs. Biesemeier by Tuesday and we will make sure to take care of it.

On Monday, we will host our first junior high basketball games of the season against Briggsdale @ 2:00
