JH basketball will be traveling to Peetz tomorrow, 12/18/25. Games start at 4:00 tomorrow in this order: Girls B (2- 6 minute quarters), Boys B (2-6 minute quarters), Girls A, Boys A. The bus will leave Lone Star at 2:00 p.m. There will be a pick up after the game at the Vistitors Center in Sterling. Thank you! LET'S GO LONGHORNS

The JH basketball bus is now leaving Arickaree. There will be a drop off in Otis. Please be at the road side park to pick up your athlete if that is the plan. Thank you LET'S GO LONGHORNS

Good evening Lone Star. Our JH basketball teams will be traveling to Arickaree for ball games tomorrow, 12/16/25. There is a slight update to our schedule!! There WILL be a JH Boys B game. Games will start at 3:00 p.m. in this order: JH girls B (2- 8-minute quarters), JH boys B (2 - 8-minute quarters), JH girls A (full game), and then JH Boys A (full game). Please make sure your athletes have their uniforms and if they choose to wear a shirt underneath the jersey, please make sure it is a black shirt. The bus will leave Lonestar at 1:30 p.m.

It's Prairie Classic time!! Our HS boys and girls will be playing in the annual Prairie Classic Tourney again this year. Their first games will be this Friday, 12/12/25. I have attached the bracket and game day information. On Friday, the bus will leave Lone Star at 3:45 p.m. We will announce leave time for Saturday as soon as game results come in on Friday evening.

Good afternoon Lone Star. We are continuing our busy week of basketball. Our Lady Longhorns will be traveling to Hugo tomorrow, 12/11/25 to take on the Lady Pirates. Games will start at 4:00 p.m. with 2qtrs. JV Girls then our Varsity will play at 5:00p.m. The bus will leave Lone Star at 1:00 p.m. with a stop in Yuma. If you would like your athlete to drive to Yuma and be picked up, please get a hold of Peggy Fisher to confirm those plans. Thank you

Tuesday: Nice vs. Naughty- Dress up as an evil or good kid! Good kids wear: Green, Gold, and White. Naughty kids wear: Black, Brown, or Red!

Wednesday: Wacky Winter Wear Wednesday: Wear your ugliest sweater!

Thursday: Lights, Camera, Christmas: Dress up as one of your favorite Christmas movie characters!

Friday: Jingle Bell Jammies: Dress up in your holiday pjs!

FFA Families: Our fruit, beans, and potatoes SHOULD be ready for pickup at 3:45 on Tuesday, December 8th. We understand there are basketball games that night, so let Mrs. Vetter if there will be an issue picking up and delivering items that night.

School will be cancelled on Friday, December, 5th. Bob Rogers memorial service will take place at the school at 11:00 am. Our thoughts are with the Rogers family, and the entire Lone Star community as we mourn this tremendous loss.

On December 19th, our high school students will be having a day of service for the Lone Star community. Lone Star feels it's important that our students get out in our communities and understand the importance of service learning. We would love the opportunity to get out in the community and help anyone in need. Please feel free to reach out so we can get you on our schedule!
