WEDNESDAY: FFA Speaking District 7:45 am. THURSDAY: K-12 Christmas Program 6:30 pm. (Please have students report to their classrooms no later than 6:15 pm) Tea to follow. FRIDAY: HS Boys and Girls Prairie Classic- 3:30 pm. SATURDAY: HS Boys and Girls Prairie Classic (Time is TBD)

Reminder: Junior High basketball games tomorrow. Games begin at 11:00 am There will be A and B games for both boys and girls. Athletes need to be at the school by 10:15 Go Longhorns!

TIME CHANGE FOR BOYS' BASKETBALL GAME TONIGHT @ HOLYOKE: Varsity will play at 5:00 pm. Junior Varsity will follow.

We are monitoring the wind advisory that was issued for our area. The warning is set to lift as of right now at 3:00 pm. School will proceed, and we will dismiss at regular time. If anything changes, we will let you know. Drive safe!

WEEKLY REMINDERS: Today: FFA fruit orders DUE! Friday: HS Boys basketball game @ Holyoke. Varsity will play first at 4:00, followed by Junior Varsity. Friday & Saturday: HS Girls basketball tournament @ Cotopaxi. Friday game starts at 2:00 pm. Saturday game time is to be determined.

The junior high basketball games today have been postponed due to weather. Briggsdale is canceling school. We will work to find another date to play these games.

We have some changes for high school basketball this weekend. Boys V and JV have a game in Holyoke now on Friday night against their JV and C team. The girls will travel to the Cotopaxi High School Invitational Friday and Saturday. They will play their first game Friday at 2 p.m. against Cripple Creek.

Reminder! We have school Monday and Tuesday this week and we are off the rest of the week for Thanksgiving break.

Lone Star is excited to announce that we have received a counselor core grant. Through this grant, the district will be able to hire a full time counselor beginning in the 2023-24 school year.
